Color Trends for 2012

When the new season is approaching, most women are curious about trends in this field. For 2012, the trends are not as restrictive, at least not in terms of colors. They allow fashion lovers plenty of opportunities they can play with in order to create interesting outfit according to their needs and personalities.

Each season, the most famous designers of the world come with ideas as how change our wardrobe, bringing original creations of various inspirations. Colors are always reinvented as they bear the seal of each designer’s vision. This year, the designers have put together a variety of looks and have assembled elements from different sources of inspiration  such as the urban warrior image with touches of nature as well as a bohemiene style with classical accents and a clear preference for retro cuts.

With so many sources of inspiration, it is not surprising that the color palette is so varied: from neutral light shades to the classical darker ones such as khaki, gray, dark blue or black. But there is also a range of vibrant colors and rich tones of red, purple. Colors come with designers as well as with seasons.

Bottle, tree, English, anise, apple … You might say that all shades of green have scrolled on the podium this year for the spring-summer collection. But it is with Akris it is the purest and least modified, with Celine that it is the most austere, with  Elie Saab the most joyful, with Jean Paul Gaultier and Fendi the most vivid. Everywhere on the fall-winter fashion, blue is definitely the star color of the cold season. And when it does not from head to toes as it does with Gucci, it still finds its place on the details, such as socks at Prada. Blue is present in all its forms, and freely mixed with black by Dior and Louis Vuitton. The turquoise even dares an entry with Dolce & Gabbana. Anyway, this year, you’ll be spoiled with plenty of color choices.
